Overview
Rebuilt the Decrypted Labs site as a headless Next.js app pulling content from WordPress via WPGraphQL. Focus was on SEO performance and content flexibility — the team needed to publish without touching code.
What I built
Headless WordPress CMS
Content managed in WordPress, delivered via WPGraphQL. Writers publish without touching the codebase.
SEO Pipeline
robots.txt, XML sitemaps, canonical URLs, Open Graph tags, and H1 server-side rendering for full crawler visibility.
ISR
Incremental Static Regeneration keeps pages fast while staying fresh with new content.
Navigation Overhaul
Restructured navigation with proper service category dropdowns and mobile-responsive behavior.
Challenges solved
H1 tags were rendering client-side, hurting SEO — moved to SSR with generateMetadata for all dynamic pages
WPGraphQL pagination for large post archives needed cursor-based implementation
Navigation dropdown structure needed a full rebuild — the old flat nav didn't reflect the service categories
